We want your kids to love church!
At HighPointe Kids, we’re passionate about creating a safe, welcoming space where children can build a real relationship with Jesus and experience a strong church community from an early age. From infants to 5th grade, our goal is to help kids know God’s love, discover the joy of following Him, and see how His truth impacts their lives.
We’re here to partner with you in building your child’s faith, both at church and at home. Every week, kids engage in creative Bible lessons, high-energy worship, and fun, interactive activities designed to help them grow in their walk with Jesus!
Why HighPointe Kids?
Finding the right church means choosing a place where your kids can safely explore their faith while having fun. At HighPointe Kids, we bring the joy of Jesus to life, making God’s Word exciting and actionable for kids in a way they can understand and enjoy.
Faith-Filled Fun – We make church a place kids love! Through high-energy worship, interactive games, and creative lessons, your child will have a blast while learning about God.
Safety First – Your child’s safety is our top priority. We use a secure check-in system, background-checked volunteers, and strict safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for all.
Engaging Learning – We make learning about God exciting and relevant with age-appropriate Bible lessons and hands-on activities that help children grow in their faith and apply biblical truths in their lives.
Environments
HighPointe Kids is designed for children ages 0-12, providing a safe, fun, and engaging space for their physical, social, and spiritual growth. Our caring, trained team ensures each child enjoys age-appropriate activities in a secure and welcoming environment.
Nursery | 0-2 Years Old – Our nursery is a loving, safe space filled with clean, age-appropriate toys. As we care for your little one, we pray over them, believing God has an incredible purpose for their life.
Preschool | 3-4 Years Old – In preschool, we help children build a relationship with Jesus through hands-on learning, stories, songs, and fun activities. Our goal is to create a space where they feel loved, valued, and excited to grow in their faith.
Elementary | 5-12 Years Old – We make learning about Jesus exciting! Each Sunday includes worship, games, scripture memorization, and a message from our kids’ pastor or trained leaders. Every team member is background-checked and trained to create a safe, engaging, and faith-filled experience.
Checking In
When you arrive, look for our HighPointe Kids check-in stations. A friendly team member will assist you in checking your child into our system. You and your child will each receive personalized, coordinating ID tags for the visit. Be sure to keep yours, as you’ll need it to pick up your child after the service. If you lose your tag, you’ll be asked to show your Driver’s License for identification.
During check-in, we’ll ask for some personal information, including family members’ names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (like allergies or special needs).
If we need to reach you during the service, your child’s ID code will appear on the screen in the sanctuary. If you see it, please exit the auditorium and head to the HighPointe Kids area for assistance.
Security
Your child’s safety is our top priority. All HighPointe Kids staff and volunteers are background-checked to ensure a secure environment. We also have a secure check-in system in place for added protection. For any questions regarding our safety policies and procedures, feel free to contact us at info@myhpc.com or call 334.475.3707.
Water Baptism
We’re excited you’re considering baptism for your child! At HighPointe Kids, we encourage children to make a personal decision to follow Jesus. We recommend waiting until your child expresses a desire to be baptized, as this shows they understand its significance. While children can know Jesus, they may not fully grasp baptism’s meaning. Use our Baptism Question and Devotional Guide to help determine if your child is ready for this important step.
Baby Dedication
HighPointe Church believes children are a gift from God, and we are very excited that you are interested in baby dedication. Baby dedication is a public commitment you make before God, your church, and your family. The dedication service provides you, the parent(s), with an opportunity to express publicly your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so your child will develop a desire to love God and love others.
Nursing Moms Room
This area is designed for mothers with infants to enjoy the Sunday service in a private environment where you can feed, change, and care for your baby. The service is streamed live in this area just for you. When you are attending a HighPointe Sunday service, one of our Ushers or Dream Team members can direct you to the Mother’s Room.
HighPointe Harbor exists to share the love of Christ by assisting individuals needing special accommodations, and their families, to become full participants and contributors in the body of Christ. We are grateful to partner with you to facilitate an incredible experience for your entire family.
-
HighPointe Harbor aims to integrate children into general classrooms as much as possible. Each Sunday, the Harbor Coordinator will place your child in the level of integration that will set them up for the greatest level of success. Children may be fully integrated, partially integrated, or stay in the Harbor classroom on any given Sunday depending on the child’s individual plan, Dream Team availability, and classroom dynamic.
-
HighPointe Harbor will be offered during our 9am service.
-
Harbor is located in the Kids building. Check in with our Check-In team and they will assist you.
-
Children who are part of HighPointe Harbor will always start and finish in the Harbor classroom.
-
Your child will have the opportunity to experience worship, watch a Bible story, pray, complete a craft and coloring sheet, and play with other kids. Their time in Harbor is designed to be structured, purposeful, and fun.
-
Children age three and under will have their diaper changed during the service. If a child is over the age of four a parent will be paged to come and change the diaper.
-
Safety is one of our primary focuses in HighPointe Harbor, but we know sometimes sickness and accidents happen. If your child appears to be sick, bleeding, or hurting him/herself, a Harbor leader will page and text you immediately. HighPointe Harbor will not under any circumstances perform medical procedures on children or give medication to children. In an emergency, an Epi Pen will be administered if the parents have provided one.
-
If a child starts behaving inappropriately, HighPointe Harbor will set up a meeting with you to discuss the behavior and develop a plan to encourage positive change. HighPointe Harbor may also page or text you out of service if necessary.
-
As part of HighPointe Kids and HighPointe Harbor, when you check your child in, you will receive a parent sticker with a unique four-digit code that matches your child’s sticker and code. If we need you for any reason, your four-digit code will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen in the main service. We will also text you this code to your phone.
-
We stand with you in prioritizing safety and accountability. HighPointe Kids and HighPointe Harbor will always have two people in the classroom at all times, including during diaper changes. Diaper changes will take place in one of the nursery classrooms.
-
If your child becomes independent in his or her classroom and no longer needs Harbor services, the Harbor Coordinator will set up a meeting to discuss next steps for your child.
